YOU ARE CONSIDERING A VERY INTERESTING PIECE CONSTRUCTED WITH A ROW OF 4 SOLID BRASS CASCADING CUPS THAT WILL EMPTY INTO THE NEXT ONE DOWN WHEN THE TALLEST ONE IS FILLED. IT DOES HAVE A KNOB THAT I BELIEVE WILL OPEN AND CLOSE THE POUR TUBE. IT IS IMPORTANT TO NOTE THAT I FOUND THIS ITEM WITHOUT THE LID THAT WOULD HAVE COVERED THE TALLEST CUP. I HOPE IT CAN BE REPLACED. THE 4 BRASS COLUMNS ARE MOUNTED ON A BEVELED WOOD BASE THAT IS ELEVATED WITH 4 STURDY BRASS FEET. EACH HAS A GREEN FELT SHELF/TABLE PROTECTOR PAD. I DO NOT KNOW THE INTENDED PURPOSE OF THIS PIECE. CAN ANYONE PROVIDE SOME INSIGHT? I AM ALWAYS VERY GRATEFUL TO RECEIVE MISSING INFORMATION. I HOPE A COLLECTOR WILL WANT TO OWN THIS SPLENDID OBJECT. Measured at the base approximately 17" long x 5 1/2" wide x 3" high. The total height to the top of the edge of the highest cup is 14 1/2". The weight is just over 5 pounds 4 oz. The packaging adds considerable weight so the completed carton will ship USPS Ground Advantage or Priority insured at the 9 pound rate.

The overall condition is very good vintage. ●●●Please allow the photos to guide you as they are the lion’s share of this description.●●● This is what I see to describe: as mentioned above the cover for the tallest cup is lost; the next to smallest column rotates and I do not know how to tighten it [I doubt that it matters]; the previous owner left some remnants of brass polish; at this time the brass has a nice old patina that I think should NOT be polished; the wood base has a few minor nicks and rubs and the foot pads may need to be replaced. Otherwise I do not see anything of consequence to describe. ●●●I hope I have not missed anything. If I did, it was surely minor and 100% unintentional.●●● Just about 99% of the collectibles I offer are vintage/pre-owned and may show a small amount of handling. I never list items with major flaws or serious damage. I often heighten the contrast in my pictures to bring out all the details. The color you see may be slightly brighter or different than it actually is. Please inquire if you are concerned.
