VTG 40s 50s GUND 24" Mickey Mouse Doll Plush With Rubber Face Hands Shoes WalkerThis vintage Walt Disney Mickey Mouse is over 75 years old and was originally a walking doll. I am not sure if it was by hand or automated but the mechanics are still in place. When you move the legs to "walk" Mickey, the head turns back and forth or if you hold him by the body and turn his head back and forth, the legs will move. The arms originally would swing back and forth when walking but unfortunately are dislocated from the body. It is not noticeable when on display but is evident when you pick up the hand. The overalls are clean but faded and one strap is pinned to the pants on the back. The velvet that has been exposed and not covered by the overalls throughout the years is shedding and leaving bare material. A long sleeve shirt could hide it on the arms. Some of the white paint on the gloves rubbed off during cleaning with soap and water. The face and head have separated at the forehead seam. No other tears are noted on Mickey.
