VTG ITALIAN WALL PLAQUE 3D HOLY FAMILY RR ROMAN MARY JOSEPH JESUS RESIN NATIVITY BAS RELIEF

This peaceful Holy Family wall hanging is a bas relief sculpture or as people tend to say, 3D. The family is portrayed in subtle colors of green, brown, tan, purple and gold. This RR Roman Co. vintage 1970s resin wall plaque of Mary, Joseph and young toddler Jesus features a maker’s mark on the side, indicating it was handmade and painted. There also is a silver RR sticker on the back of the piece. There is a sturdy hook on the top back for hanging.

Any flaws this piece has are so small that I had trouble photographing. In Joseph’s hair there is one small strand that some brown paint may have rubbed off. On the outside edge of Joseph’s hair there are 3 specks of possible missing paint. Any appearance of what may appear to be missing paint on the rest of this beautiful artwork is simply glare from my camera picking up on shiny gold gilt trim or a shinier part of the matte finish.

This plaque is made of heavy resin, weighing 1.5 pounds. It’s 10 inches long and 4.5 inches wide. The RR Roman Company has made religious statues, figurines and plaques since 1963.
