The plate is in very good vintage (used) condition.

The plate has glaze crazing on both its top side and underside. It has almost no signs of usage or storage. It was most likely used as a display piece.

The plate has original to manufacture peg stand marks, mineral deposit flecks and glaze bubbles/pops. There is a tiny indent in the clay on the foot ring. It is glazed over and is also original to manufacture.

The plate measures 10 1/2 inches in diameter.

The words printed on the plate\'s underside read:

Groton School 1935

There is the importer\'s stamp (Jones, McDuffee and Stratton Co.), and a Wedgwood stamp. There are impressed \"Wedgwood\" and \"Made in England\" stamps. The last character in the impressed year code is difficult to read. The particular year code indicates that the plate was produced sometime in the 1930s.
