ITEM DESCRIPTION: Up for sale is a striking, vintage,circa 1940\'s,Mid Century Modern, black metal L.C. Smith Corona Standard Floating Shift manual typewriter, that also comes with a nice hardshell case(Houghton College, NY logo on top),Serial No. 2C235989. It is quite clean, and in very good, cosmetic condition. All of the keys work fine (except for \"A\", which sticks a bit when struck lightly), and it spaces very smoothly. The carriage return works well. I was unable to figure out how to lock the carriage. I actually think this is intrinsic to its making. And, as is usually the case, it will need a new ribbon, and basic maintenance/tune-up. Please, carefully examine the many photos to best judge the typewriter\'s condition for yourself.
