condition is as pictured, with the following defects observed: a few 1-2mm pinholes in the paper; one on the subject\'s lower lip, and another in the black background about 1 inch from the righthand edge, and a few down in the bottom left corner. Half a dozen or more ~2-5mm flakes missing from the colored surface exposing white paper but not penetrating through it. These are most prominent on the subject\'s shirt collar and hair. a few small chips of brown paper from the backing have worked their way between the portrait and the glass in front. dirt etc as expected on exterior surface numerous small dings and scuffs in the wood and plaster? resin? frame. structurally tight and suitable for hanging as-is. Ships flat in 22 x 16 x 4\" cardboard box
