Up for sale is a Pair of Vintage 1968 Gulf Gas & Oil “Lucky Horse Shoe” Political Pins! These are vintage promotional lucky horseshoe pins which were given away at Gulf gas stations for the 1968 US presidential elections. The set includes both the Republican Party Elephant pin and the Democratic Party Donkey pin. The pins are still on the original cards! These are both gold colored metal pins with an elephant or donkey head and two horseshoes. The pins measure about ¾” across. As shown in the photos, both pins are in very good condition with nice bright gold finishes. The pin clasps on the backs are in also in nice shape. The cards do have some storage wear and creasing. These vintage 1968 Gulf Oil political pins would make a great addition to your collection!
