The only damage is shown in last picture, very insignificant.
Don\'t really know any history or much about this. Estate and seems to have been a wall hanger. I would call this a helmet,the workmanship is amazing its quite sturdy and on very good condition. It is smaller size. For an older child or lady perhaps.
It is certainly interesting.
