Here is a vintage or possibly antique hand painted enamel Chinese rose medallion porcelain hexagon shape vase that was converted into a lamp. The bottom has a sticker that says "Property of Huntington Hotel 6152", my guess the hotel in San Francisco base in where this was found in California. It has images of people that are gathered in a various settings in a builiding, maybe indeed a hotel lobby perhaps. Above the large panel image are the batwing images. There are smaller medallion images with birds and flowers. The top of vase is filled in to support the lamp stem. It doesn't feel like it is filled solid as it is not seem that heavy. The vase part stands 10 1/2" tall and about 6 1/4" at it's widest point. It has a modern socket at the top and the lamp does work. There is a couple spots of wear of missed enamel at the corners.There is wear to the painted wood base and the harp is a litle bent and I cannot get it off for shipping purposes.
