Market1508 is delighted to offer for sale this lovely mid-century (1960-69) vintage Chinese side cabinet with native scenes of flowers, birds and Geisha girls decorated in the Chinoiserie style

A very good looking and well made piece, these are now highly collectable as art furniture. This was has a nicely patinated lacquered frame which has been hand painted with gold inlay of birds and flowers, it also has large amounts of carved soap stone to the finish which gives it a lovely 3d affect

*Condition*

Due to the delicate nature and design of the handcarved soapstone characters, there is some damage on the Bottom portion where small pieces have chipped off. These defects are not Strikingly apparent unless studied intently. However, we wanted it to be known. There was damage to the sub stone and the price is reflected due to the defects. Please see all the Attached photographs for they will be the best visual representation to help you in your decision-making process.
