Vintage Flower Trophy 1954 New Roses International Competition Switzerland:

Beautiful vintage trophy from the city of Geneva, Switzerland for it's 1954 International New Roses Competition. Two acorn accents on the top lid & a lovely font for the wording with the crest shield & banner of the city of Geneva. Not sure what type of vessel this is- an urn or stein or pitcher and I'm not certain of the metal, but it is marked "L. Fontaine Geneve" on the bottom. I don't have any history on this piece, it's a recent find.
Engraved: "Offert Par La Ville de Genève Concours International De Roses Nouvelles 1954"
Measures approximately11 3/8" tall and has a base diameter of 4 5/8"
Condition: Please view photos carefully- there is some patina and light surface scratches to the metal one might expect with a vintage metal piece. There is also a dent on the side of the vessel part- it was difficult to photograph well but in the last photograph you can see where the light is hitting the area.A special piece for any collection or display & thanks so much for taking a look!
