Vintage Italian Minimalist Sphere Alabaster Bookends, Mid Century Modern:

Designed with the chic simplicity of Mid-Century Modern style. Hand carved, and made in Italy. Fantastic veining and depth. Alabaster was first made known by the Egyptians, and each piece of alabaster is truly unique. These gorgeous polished bookends are a perfect way to instantly add sleek, clean design, to your office or library. ****Their handsome coloring is difficult to truly capture in photos.*** This pair is NOT WHITE Alabaster. More of a deep, creamy tan and green/gray marbleized appearance, but the coloring seems to brighten and deepen depending on lighting. Please look through all photos to gain a better sense of color. Photos #1 and #9 seem most accurate. The edges are slightly beveled. This pair is in very nice vintage condition. There is a chip on the back corner shown in photos, which isn't noticeable when in use. Slight wear appropriate with age along edges. Together they weigh 4 lbs. 7 oz. They measure approximately 5.5" high x 4.5" in length x 3" wide.
