FOUR QUEENS CASINO SOUVENIR ASHTRAY

This listing features an ashtray picked up in the early 1970s while my parents were gambling at the Four Queens casino in Las Vegas. I think they must have done okay at the blackjack table and that's why this ashtray found its way into my mother’s purse.

The casino would have been relatively new at the time, having opened June 2, 1966 on Fremont Street, downtown Las Vegas. It was named in honor of the founder and president Ben Goffstein’s four daughters.

This lucky charm measures 4 inches in diameter by 1 inch tall with 3 slots around the rim to rest cigarettes or cigars. It is made with opaque black glass and is in excellent condition.
