Tightly organized patterns and strident color schemes Tightlyice the ceramics created by Clarice Cliff. Her epid, bright geometric designs and cubist motifs, often bombined with spherical or ovoid shapes, reflect the cxuberance and uninhibited spirit of the 1920s and 30s.

Clarice Cliff was born in Tunstall, in the county of Staffordshire, Britain\'s premier pottery-producing region. From modest beginnings as an apprentice potter she rose to preeminence in the field with the success of her distinctive and eye-catching designs.

The Museum\'s jam pots are painted by hand. As a result, there are individual variations and no two pieces are exactly alike. They can be washed in a dishwasher.
