Native American Dancer, Hand Painted, Signed, One of aKind, 15" x 3"
The craftsmanship is evident in this hand made and hand painted, one of a kind, animal hide drum depicting a Native American tribal dance. This one of a kind drum measures 15" diameter and 3" deep. The artist signed the piece but it's not clear enough to read. I've searched for possible matches but have yet to find anything that comes close to the style.
The number next to the signature suggests it could have been made around the1970's. That number is also a little difficult to make out.
This is part of my Grandfather-in-Law's collection that has been in climate controlled, smoke free storage since his passing 2006. All proceeds go to my mother-in-law and her sister. The piece is a little dusty, but still in displayable condition. There is a small hole in the hide hidden in the top feathers. Please see photos for details. Contact me with any additional questions.
