GenuineMade in the USA by Ontario Knife Company (OKC) original finish and factory edge on blade. See photosImportant: These are genuine, have the stamped "Ontario Knife Co USA" on one side and "Combat Army" on the metal tang just under the handguard, see photos and illustration. The commercial repros and the import fake counterfeits have "screen printed", "painted" or "etched" lettering on the tang so keep your eye on the details if that'simportant to you.
Sadly the Ontario Knife Company's Franklin NY factory was closed and employees laid off in July 2023. 120 years of production in the USA for our military and civilian market gone.The Ontario Bayonet knife features an 8" clip point blade made of proprietary carbon steel with a Rockwell hardness of 53-58. The blade dimensions areapproximately.200 inches thick and 1 3/8" wide, with a 1 3/4" Sharpened top swedge, and non-reflective black phosphate coat. The brown Dynaflex rubber handle is ergonomically grooved to reduce hand fatigue, with a positioning access point for quick redirect of the blade position in reduced visibility situations. Overall length/weight is about 13 1/4" and1.4 pounds.
