For sale is a Vintage Philco Cathedral Style Tube Radio, Model 20, circa 1930-31.

I am saleing this piece strictly AS-IS. This radio is currently NOT working and will need some repair / restoration or might just be usable for parts or decoration.I believe this set has been recapped, but it still isn’t working. One tube is missing and I don’t know the status of the other tubes.

This piece has the kinds of dings and scuffs you would expect from a vintage piece but the case is in overall very good shape. The speaker tested good with a battery scratch test, and I believe it is original, as is the bezel. The side tube shield is here, which I understand is hard to find, along with the speaker.

The knobs are missing (pictured) and the dial seem to be period correct. A new cord will be needed as the current one seems too short.

This piece can use a good light cleaning but I didn’t do anything to the surface as I know collectors like to determine what needs done.

This is a nice radio, and I honestly hate to put it up for sale, but I don’t have the time to give it the attention it needs – I hope someone can appreciate it enough to fully restore it.

This would be a great project radio, or sadly a parts radio. Either way, it is offered AS-IS.

This is a BIG radio – I estimate it will weight about30 pounds when boxed for shipping. I will drive up to 10 miles from zip code 44001 to meet you for free pick up, if you want. This is dependent on my schedule.

I occasionally get asked if I will‘part-out’ or sell parts to a radio. The short answer is ‘no’.While I appreciate that you may just need that one part, this only leaves me with an even less functional radio and someone else will have to replace the part you now have.
