Vintage Plique A Jour Miniature Bowl Cloisonne Chinese Enamel Parrots Birds. Description: Here's a delightful little vintage Plique A Jour cloisonne enamel vintage miniature bowl. Unlike cloisonne which has a brass base onto which the enamels are painted, plique a jour has no backing, creating a stained window effect. What makes this particular piece a bit special is the image of a pair of parrots on both sides of the bowl, along with branches & leaves with a clear "fish-scale" background, and a floral decoration at the bottom. Such a pretty little thing, perfect for a collector of cloisonne miniatures - or perhaps for a parrot lover!Condition: Excellent vintage condition, with no apparent flaws. (See photos.)
