Hi! This is where we spent Sunday and Monday. It's a fantastic place - the town's tacky, but the scenery is great. We really needed to get away. Today (5/24) I interviewed at the doctorate program. It looks as though I'm in! It must be 100 (degrees) today - it's going to be a long summer. Take it easy. Time to go to work.

The rock of which the fantastic formations of the Dells are carved is Cambrian (Potsdam) sandstone. It was laid down as the sandy bed of sea ages ago. Hardened into rock it later uplifted above the sea.
