This is a beautiful vintage Russian lacquer box from the Ashville North Carolina estate of Sara Graham Peacock.
I recently purchased many boxes from this estate sale. My parents collected these back in the 1980s but I have limited knowledge of them and I don\'t read or speak the language. I saw these being sold at the estate sale so I purchased them. I\'m saving a few for myself and selling the rest.
There is mother of pearl in the roses which glimmer when the box is moved.
There is written script on the bottom of the box but I\'m unable to translate the writings.
measures approx 3\" x 4 1/4\" x 1 1/4\". Excellent condition.
