Vintage State of Arizona 75th Anniversary Statehood Medallion 1912-1987 with card. Medallion star celebration with 75 in middle and "STATE OF ARIZONA PURE COPPER 1912-1987' encircling rim, reverse has colonial scenes for state seal and words "GREAT SEAL[pf0['OF THE STATE OF ARIZONA*1912*" encircling rim; pure copper and measures approx 1 3/4" diameter, in GREAT shape; however there is MINOR dirt/spots of tarnish evident. Card has medallion stapled to it and has wrinkles/tape mark and reads: "This Pure Copper Medallion is the only officially sanctioned state of Arizona Commemorative ever produced. It is significant in that Arizona is the leading state in production of Copper. This Medallion was struck from the purest Copper. Great care has been taken in the detailing of the dies and production has been carefully attended to creating the highest quality possible. This Limited Edition Medallion was offered for a short time only. Originally issued at $9.95 each, they have been sold out AT ISSUING and are difficult to locate in the marketplace.
