Vintage Tuck’s Postcards 50-card lot F/VG/EX/EX+.

This is a 50-card lot of Raphael Tuck & Sons postcards. There are Easter cards, Valentines cards, a Christmas card, and cards (many being Tuck’s Oilette cards) displaying artwork. All cards in the 50-card lot are shown in the pictures.

There are 27 Easter cards, 11 Valentines cards, 1 Christmas card, and 11 showing artwork. Six of the cards show undivided backs. There are 13 Oilette cards in the lot.

30 of the cards are stamped and postmarked, including one stamped and postmarked in Great Britain. 2 cards are postmarked and have no stamp affixed. Among the postmarked cards, 4 show a classic flag cancel. 18 cards show no postmark and no stamps, and among these 12 have no writing on the reverse.

Condition includes fair (3), very good (20), excellent (15) and excellent plus (12). The last two pictures of this post show sample postcards for each of those condition categories.

All 50 cards are original vintage cards. You can find virtually all of them on the Tuck’s Postcard Database (tuckdbpostcards.org) using the ID info on the reverse of each card. The database provides detailed information about each card, including publication dates, artists, and estimated value.

Many of these cards, as you can verify, are selling at $4 and up on and other postcard sites.
