Writing Desk Beautiful Table Top Desk !!! Great to keep open and show off your pen collection .. Has a Victorian Style Center Medallion is Metal with Inlay Trim Please review the photos some of the 2 top and 2 side pieces of inlay are missing 2 Cracks in the Wood at top of box lid but box is strong Inside Box - One side has a tab closure Base has compartments for 2 clear glass inkwells with silver metal tone lids.. one has a cork and one lid does not have a cork Center compartment has a lid Purple Velvet Surface with a purple tab ( the tab appears to be newer than the surface purple Note the center of the box where it is hinged: as the surface of the velvet is split where is closes - years of open and closing would do that .. Interior of the wood is unique in colors - see photos- not much use. No markings on the Box Box comes with 2 skelton keys for the lock .. lock works .. but keep it well oiled. At one time it must of had a metal insert to pull open the lid that is no longer in place - see front of the box. Box at center inside top wood flap is a little wobbly .. can be reinforced w some glue if you choose. Bottom of box shows surface wear and use .. Box has had a long life and will continue to thrive if taken care of Condition - As Is - box is strong but has carcks across top ... Missing some inlay pieces and surface and use wear on exterior - See Photos MEASURES: 5.5" TALL - 9" DEEP & 13" WIDE Across the Box THANKS FOR LOOKING
