Vintage late 1800s neoclassical Music Box Wood Serving Tray, plays “O Sole Mio”:

This RARE musical tray is in VERY GOOD+ condition, especially considering its age.

The glass covering the tray bottom’s 4-horse neoclassical Roman Chariot depiction and surrounding ornate floral and bird motif is clean and clear with no cracks or chips. The motif is carried onto the tray’s handles which, along with the rest of the tray, have no damage except for 2 small almost unnoticeable chips which I have tried to picture in the photos. Otherwise, NO breaks,cracks, scratches or other chips. There are no repairs, but the original footings were replaced years ago; please see the photos.

The music box is contained in the left handle and plays “O Sole Mio”. The tray measures 21 ¼ x 113/8 x 1 ¼ and weighs 2 ¾ lbs.

This tray was most likely made in Switzerland in the late1800s.
