Vintage porcelain tureen or covered dish - Carl Tielsch Altwasser (1925-1927).
Manufactured by Carl Tielsch's Altwasser porcelain factory in Silesia between 1925 and 1927. Stamped with pattern #2457 (band of pink flowers on blue & lattice), trimmed in gold.
Measures 9.5" across handle to handle and 5" tall covered; 7.7" across uncovered and 5" across the base. Sized for serving a vegetable side dish or 2 servings of soup.
Condition (worn, discolored in spots, crackling) appropriate to its age.
