Old original wool dress jacket with tails from West Point. Info written on the Cadet Store label indicates it was issued to Cadet Earl Vincent Brown in the summer of 1937. His West Point bio shows he became a career military lawyer and judge and served in Europe during World War II.
The jacket has some condition issues - the acorn buttons are missing from the middle row of the front (one replacement is pinned to the collar), the chevrons have been removed from the sleeves - and there is a good bit of moth holes and bites, especially on one of the sleeves and cuffs. There\'s also one hole on the front that shows. But what\'s left is in good shape -- the wool is not badly faded and no stains or blown seams -- and the canvas lining is nicely intact.
Measurements are: pit to pit across the front lying flat - 18\", placket down front - 18\", length down the back from base of collar - 32\"An \"as is\" piece for display or restoration and a great original identified memento of a true WWII Army hero.
