Vtg Antique 1920s 30s Cast Iron 5 Bulb Markel Co. Flush Mount Light Fixture B12A beautiful cast iron hand-hammered ornate ceiling light fixture made by Markel Co. This is the B12 model and it is marked on the back of the fixture. The fixture requires rewiring and does come with the original hanging hook, five sockets by Leviton, and five screws (to secure the sockets onto the cast iron fixture). The sockets are marked \"3052 Leviton 660 W 250 V.\" The cast iron portion of the fixture has a hammered texture with a scrolling leaf pattern. It does need a bit of TLC. Please read the Seller\'s Notes and review the photos carefully before offerding or offering. This would be the perfect addition to a Gothic, Art Deco, Spanish Revival, or Art Nouveau-style décor!

A little history on the maker:Markel Electric Products (MEP) was founded by Joseph Markel (1888-1966) in 1920. Markel was born in Lithuania and came to the United States in 1891. The company was located at 145 Seneca Street in Buffalo, New York. A century ago, this was a bustling industrial area. Down the street was the thriving Larkin Company, and their globally famous Administration Building designed by Frank Lloyd Wright.Reasonable offers are welcomed and will be considered.
