This listing is for a rare post-war Ikebana basket formed of steamed strips of bamboo in a round bulbous form. The bamboo is woven in plaited and looped designs. It is stained in rich dark reddish brown with whispers of pale green. A superb design, sturdy and ready to display a beautiful Ikebana arrangement. It measures about 16” diameter x 8” high.
