This listing is for a charming collector plate by Ross Logan entitled "Waterloo Boy" which is the Second of Four Plates in the "More Deere Memories" collection. This limited edition 9 1/4-inch plate is hand numbered and inexcellent condition. The information on the back of the plate says in part: "Waterloo Boy" the first so called "Johnny Popper" was nicknamed for the distinctive sound of the running engine. This particular model was exported to Great Britain as the Overtime Tractor. Produced by Deere from 1917 to 1924, the Waterloo Boy tractors helped establish the reputation for economy and dependability that John Deere still enjoys today. Behind every farmer is a farm lady. Farm ladies play a very important role in the running of the family farm. They have a full-time job with raining the children, keeping house and always there to help with planting and harvesting of their livelihood from the dry, dusty fields. These ladies take the long days in stride and know they are appreciated. You deserve more than words could express, you're one of a kind ladies. GOD BLESS you all........
