This is an sale for a lot of WW II US military ephemera. Included (#1) is a booklet is info about Pvt. Mark Birkenstock who enlisted in the Army Feb. 1944. Also, his sister, Lt. (j.g.) Helen Birkenstock, a US Navy nurse. (#2) is a photo of a PA highway plaque with M. Birkenstock at the lower right. (#3) is a newspaper clipping of Lt. (j.g.) Helen Birkenstock accompanying a wounded marine back for hospital care after Iwo Jima. (#4) is an authorization for family allowances for M. Birkenstocks mother.
