Up for sale today is an Original WW1 U.S. Army M1917 Solid Oak Ammunition Box.

This vintage ammo box is still in very nice condition. There is the usual wear and tear on it though, but nothing bad by any means. It still retains a good portion of its original olive green paint. The original leather handle is still in good condition. All of the metal hardware is in damage free condition. All of the original screws are tight, as are all of the dovetail joints. This box is still very clean inside, with a still very nice bullet stencil. This is a very nice example of an original WW1 ammunition box.
