Extremely rare to find one of these with the flipper still attached! This one has obviously not been messed with. Mask is petrified, but could possibly be opened up with the careful application of some heat. Eyepieces are nice and clear. Hose is very flexible. Yellow can is in good shape with no rusting. Dimming tube in bottom of carrier, and the record book has not been filled out. Front of soiled/worn carrier has the name C M Johnson, Co H 54 Pio Inf on the bottom corner. The 54th Pioneers were formed the week a large contingent of northern Minnesotan draftees (mostly Scandinavian lumberjack types) arrived at Camp Wadsworth, and went overseas just in time to help clear battlefields and serve in the occupation. Carl Magnus Johnson lived on 38th and Chicago in Minneapolis, which is now known as George Floyd square.Research on the veteran is digital photos only (attached), though I can provide additional details on how to pull Minnesota service records if desired to the buyer.
