Nice Bavarian Issue M1913 \'Cliche\' style (die stamped) Pilot Badge with original period Max Muller Photo Postcard. This badge is not his, but representative of what he wore on his uniform. For their part, the Bavarian air service was much smaller than that of Prussia. Bavarian pilot badges are therefore rarer. Although not maker marked, this is a style typically attributed to Carl Poellath of Schrobenhausen, Germany.Has wear and age toning. Max Ritter von Müller(1 January 1887 – 9 January 1918)- holder of the Pour le Merite,Iron Cross 1st and 2nd Class,Military Order of Max Joseph- was a German World War Iacecredited with 36 victories. He was the highest scoring Bavarian pilot of the war.
