An original World War One panoramic photo of Youngstown, Pennsylvania recruits at Camp Forrest, Georgia showing 100 soldiers with a barracks in the background, front inscribed "1st Co. 1st Recruit Battalion Camp Forrest, GA. Oct 4th, 1918" and imprint of photographer "North H Lossey, Chattanooga. Tenn". The reverse bears the soldier's pencil inscription, "All Penna Boys about 25 Y-Town Boys in this picture- Find me center, Sergeant Paul Mull, Lieut Meyer, Lt Jones, To Dad from Duane 1st Prov Rct Co, Engineers Replacement Troop Camp Forest Ga Oct 10, 1918". Approx 36 x 7". The image is sharp and presentable Photo Margins are slightly trimmed and the edges have cuts, chips. The photo is not brittle and rolls up nicely in its old cardboard mailing tube.
