WWI US Army Officer Saber (M 1902) w/ Scabbard, belt, & hangers made in Soligen:

This was my Grandfather\'s military sword. He was a Major in the US Army and served in France as an artillery officer in WW I.The hallmark \"Vase of Flowers\" and stamp \"Baron\" indicates it was made in the Solingen region of Germany known for its sword and knife making. Possibly manufactured by Gottfried Weyerberg with Baron as the distributor.
The Scabbard is in sound shape and has no markings. The blade and handle are sound with some pitting and discoloration due to age. Please look at photos. The belt and hangers are intact but show some signs of age. The stitching on the leather is intact but some of the knots in the leather decoration is starting to unravel in spots as shown in the photos. On the inside of the belt is a stamp \"32\". I assume this is the belt size (it measures 32.5 inches clasp-to-clasp).
The Sword is as issued and without any alterations. The decorative work on the blade is clear and shows, Eagle, US seal, and foliage. The handle is in fine shape.
