Like many funeral services today, a small card (usually baseball card size) were printed with a photo and brief history of the deceased.
This custom has existed for several centuries and was very prevalent during theSecond World War.
This particular card was printed in remembrance of:
Engelbert Trexler
Engelbert was a Private in an anti-tank unit and is pictured in his RAD service uniform and M43 cap.
He passed in a Russian POW Camp on December 30, 1946 at the age of 19 1/2. If you have any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to contact us.
