West German World War II 1957 Reissue 1941 German Cross in Gold Decoration.
Measures 2 1/2" wide by 2 1/2" tall.The front shows an Iron Cross in the center with three oak leaves in the center.It is surrounded by a round oak leaf brass wreath dated ‘1941’ at the base.There is an eight-pointed star in the background.Has a wide vertical pin back with a ‘c’ catch.Multi piece four donut rivet brass and nickel vaulted die struck construction.This badge was manufactured by Steinhauer & Luck Ludenscheid Germany.It was awarded by gallantry in combat action above and beyond the call of duty.On the World War II version of this German Cross, there was a black enameled swastika in the center.Excellent plus condition.
