Selenite

Selenite is the common trade name for the soft stone, gypsum. Selenite is crystallized gypsum. It has a hardness of 2.0 and is a hydrous calcium sulfate mineral. The name does not mean that it contains selenium. Selenite, in the form of bowls, make great shapes for storing and recharging pocket stones (or stones that are smooth, polished, or tumbled). Most stones of rough shapes, however, can scratch and damage the structure of soft Selenite.

Selenite emanates an intensely flowing, high vibrational energy that resonates with the Third Eye Chakra, Crown Chakra, and chakras above the head. It has a wallop of smooth, soft, and angelic vibrations; it is very useful to charge other crystals and to energize environments.
