An unused / unposted post card of a World War One / WW1 United States soldier in camp. Possibly not yet deployed as a woman and small child are in the background. The military man is depicted in a romantic view surrounded with blue skies, puffy white clouds, a green field, and pyramid like tents. The horror of war may await this brave soul. Size is approximately 3 and one half inches by 5 and three eights inches. It is an Illustrated Postal Card, number 170-7. Printed in the United States. References New York and Germany.
It is in wonderful condition given it is over one hundred (100) years of age. Image is unfaded and colors are very strong. Minimal wear is detected on edges and corners. Bend in lower right front corner. Toning on the reverse. Minor paper loss left edge affecting printed text. Only handwriting is a faint price in pencil.Great militaria collectible.
