Firmly from the Philips era of Louis Kalffs industrial design / mcm getting everything just right.I\'ve not handled a single piece from them in this period which hasn\'t had some detail that just stops and makes you think. Here the fan its self is held tight to the semi-circular slide via a sprung mount, you simply push downwards and the fan adjusts smoothly without friction or awkward tightening needed.
Its totally affective, and like many fans from this time really would put contemparay designs to shame no matter the branding behind them.I\'ve stripped to component level, cleaned, checked, and lubricated. It is in Very good condition, but there are some paint chips / corrosion etc which is part of its vintage context and shown in the pictures so please do study as they form part of the description. Also note this item has not been PAT tested.
The unit is totally original, apart from the rubber lip on the base. The original 2 core cable has been left in place as it suits the unit. There is though internally a provision for an earth connection should you chose to rewire.
