WW2 Naval Damage Control helmet.

Up for sale is an original World War II front seam McCord M1 helmet, this helmet has been repainted but was originally a naval fire damage control helmet. Due to the amount of rust the helmet was stripped when I bought it and originally repainted as OD Green with an NCO stripe but was ultimately repainted back to what the helmet originally was as a REP –3 damage control helmet. Date code on the inside is 476A. (March of 1943).

The inside of the helmet has not been repainted and is original.
