This recent find is from the estate of a Hobby and Antiques Store Owner who had a huge collection of antique ephemera relating to a wide variety of industries. This listing is a collection of over 300 pieces of bank cancelled checks and receipts PLUS a check canceling machine. All are post Civil War Era with the majority dated 1868-1879 with a few outside of those dates, but all prior to 1900. The Hobby and Antiques Store Owner had a full box of ephemera from the Joseph Adams Estate. In addition to being the President of the First National Bank of Fairhaven, VT, he was also a prominent wealthy businessman including lumber and stone (marble and slate), Mercantile/Clothier/Dry Goods Stores. Check Canceller is approximately 4\"L x 2-5/8\"W x 3\"H.All items are in Great condition with some expected age and use wear.
