Original 1800s Dervish Arm Dagger with a \"Skull Crusher\" pommel. It is from the South of the Sudan and has 8.25\" very tapered blade

double sided, 12.25\" overall the hilt has a large short dagger head on the pommel which can be used to penetrate into a man\'s skull. The grip is fully bound with plaited leather.

The leather scabbard is decorated with impressed designs. It still retains its leather throng used to bind the scabbard to the left forearm where it could be easily accessible to a Whirling Dervish. Its Sudanese owner probably slaughtered by the British Maxim guns used at the Battle of OMDURMAN in 1898.
