1820s RARE RIBS & DIAMONDS PATTERN PONTILED 3 MOLD DECANTER & SUNBURST STOPPER:

This is a rare unlisted pattern early 3 pc mold blown pontiled flint glass quart decanter from the 1810-1830 era with an original period sunburst stopper!... This early New England flint glass decanter was most likely made at either the Keene Marlboro St Glassworks or the Boston & Sandwich Glass Co. It is not listed by McKearin.....6 concentric rings around base...Diamonds & ribs around middle....2 rings with panels aorund shoulder...three applied triple rings around neck... ..... Hand blown in 3 piece mold....ground polished pontil....wide thin flared ring lip....clear flint glass....7 3/4"tall (10"counting stopper)...quart size.....Original period sunburst stopper has a wobble, but displays great. Decanter is sparkling attic mint condition with no chips or damage of any kind to either bottle or stopper. Sparkling clean with no haze... About the finest possible example you will find! It came from an old New England collection originally, and from the "Shovelin Shelley & Digger Dave Beeler" Collection....
