And impressive a 17 x 25” vellum sealed document from Philadelphia dated August 27 1831. This document details, the partition of land owned by two brothers, Casper W Sharples, and Abraham W Sharples, located at High Street and Church Alley. The petition makes reference to a 1747 deed on the property and the will of their grandfather, Casper Wistar, Jr., a prominent Quaker, from 1804. Signed by several prominent Philadelphia residents. Caspar Wistar Sharples later became a doctor and early settler in Seattle, Washington. Excellent shape. Buyer to pay $9.95 insured priority shipping in US or 1 pound priority international.
