Up for sale isthis extremely rare 1913Major Drapkin & Co.\"CINEMATOGRAPH ACTORS\" silent film star card ofFLORENCE LAWRENCEprofessionally graded bySGC 5 EX. I believe this is Florence\'s first ever trading card, or \'rookie\' card. Florence was known as the \"Biograph Girl\" for her work as the lead actress at the Biograph Company. She is often referred to as the \'the first movie star\', and the first film actor to be named publicly. Evidence now though seems to point to Max Linder as the very first actor to be publicly named. Very scarce card. Issued in England with cigarettes. 1913\'s \'Cinematograph Actors\' has the distinction of being the very first cigarette card set to exclusively feature film stars. The early pioneers of the silent era were in that set. Highest graded example by any of the major companies! Population 1 of 1!! (PSA has graded only one example as \"AUTHENTIC\".) The card pictured is the exact one you\'ll receive. I just received it back from SGC.SGC cert. # 3818665.
