This card is one in a series of 40 cards issuedin Canadaby the NEILSON Chocolate Company. One was insertedinto each package of NEILSONS ChocolateBars. They are listed as V60 Type 1 in Burdick’s American Card Catalogue, they areentitled “Automobiles (Black &White) ”. Although no guide that I knowof provides an actual date of issuedI have always assumed that it issome time around the 1920-25 era due to the age of the cars featured. Each cardfeatures a black and white (actually it is almost sepia tone rather than blackand white). photographic image of theautomobile. Theback states that there are 40 cards in the series and also has advertising forNeilson’s Chocolates. This card number 14 in the series and featuresa PACKARD EIGHT Car. TheCard measures 2 1/2 inches by 1 5/16inches approximately. The card does have some edge and corner wear, but is free from major creases.I have scanned the front andback of the card fairly large so you can determine the condition for yourself.I currently have more from this series listed on . This would make a great gift for any early automobile enthusiast or owner of this car.
