- For you Aviation history buffs this is really something. Part of the side of the plane \"N\",
- Taken and written on for Providence
- So what I can gather is this plane was in the National Air Race from New York to LA California. The first race made it in 12 hrs 33 minutes, and then going back 10 hours and 4.5 minutes. At the time this was the record beating out the previous speed record.
- VERY RARE to find the original side section to the B.Bassou plane. (bi-plane)
- In the first photo you can see th B. Bassou bi-plane, and the \"N\" is hidden behind the wing, but you can barely make it out.
- Perhaps one would display this in a clear gallery box that can be hung?
- The size is 17\" x 28\"
- There is written names but just can\'t make out correctly....some fading of the letters.
- \"To John Bassio\" on the bottom with the date 1933
- the first photo shows the \"type\" of plane this section belonged too.
