This sprawling and clambering terrestrial cactus like creature is a night blooming jasmine...known for its magnificent nocturnal flowers and begins to create show from late afternoon to daybreak...it also is called dragonfruit and bears the fruit often called strawberry pear. This flower was brought to Honolulu by Charles Brewer who brought it from Mexico and planted it around the walls of the Punahou Campus in the 1800\'s. Today the hedge of that lava rock walls brings admirers from all around the world for its gorgeous blossoms. 15% of this purchase will go towards the Maui Humane Society to help animals affected by the fires and help care for them and find new families.
