A piece of American industrialization post WW2, Made In USA item.

Polarware made these ashtrays as a marketing tool in the 1940s. The company started to use excellent drawn stainless steel products in 1926. Its company made its business in making laboratory and hospital instrumentations.

The ashtray is a remarkable proof of its times, when smoking was part of many people social life, therefore it was used as an advertising tool for its customers in the healthcare industry.

The ashtray is coated with porcelain enamel which gives its smooth feel, shine and protective layering over the Polarware logo. A lot of these did not survive and there are only a few left in this condition and are mostly in collectors possession.

Its age is approximately between 75-80 years old. It is in great condition and a nice piece of American industrialization during the 1940’s.

The color is a very light sherbet lemon yellow, its color is from the coating. The piece starts of green and coated afterwards with a gentle yellow enamel that gives of a unique color. The green base color is found at its rim base.
